Get to know me and my passion for college students!
It took me a while to figure out exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up. There are so many options, it has always felt challenging to choose just one. On a whim, I took a psychology course and haven’t looked back since. It was in these courses that I learned about the possibilities of change and growth and the many approaches we can take to get there. It provided me with more than just a learning experience, it gave me direction and purpose.
I graduated from Georgia Southern University with both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. During my clinical experiences, I worked with children in an elementary school setting and at Georgia Southern’s counseling center. It was in these spaces that I was reminded that transitioning from any one stage in our lives to another can be tricky to navigate. I particularly love working with teens and college students in transitioning stages of life. I believe that discovering who we are and finding ways to cope with the stressors that come along with it is pivotal to our own growth and I am certain I can help you with that.
I take a humanistic approach to working with clients and believe that a relationship of trust and understanding is important to the therapeutic process. I believe that we are all the experts of our own story and that we all deserve compassion and empathy as we find a sense of direction and write the next chapters of our lives.
